arched brass dial with engraved border and engraved silvered chapter ring, pierced blued hands and silvered alarm disc, matted centre with subsidiary seconds and apertures for date, day and month, all with foliate engraved scrolls, arched signature plate Jacob Traast Amsteram for the seller, the reverse signed Uswald Amsterdam, brass rococo spandrels, moonphase in the arch with engraved scenes and clouds, 8-day weight driven movement with anchor escapement and rack half hour Dutch striking on two alternating bells, alarm on the large bell, burr walnut veneered case with bell top surmounted by two giltwood angels and an atlas, lobed corniche with carved ornament above pierced frets, similar frets to the sides and columns to the sides of the door, long door with some marquetry inlay and Father Time lenticle to the canted trunk, bombed base with similar inlay and string banding raised on scroll feet
