A rare and most unusual Louis XV mantel clock, fire-gilt, signed by Henri Rossius A Liege. Virtually two dimensional this clock is beautifully cast and engraved. The back plate of the case is nicely engraved. Fabulous dial and hands, verge escapement.

Literature: La Pendule Francaise, Part III, page 685 wich shows a nearly identical clock of Henri Rossius.
