Horizontal fire-gilt case with solid silver flower ornaments. A one-day timepiece with fusee, single hand, silver hour ring with Roman numerals, striking on a bell and alarm clock. Engraved signature to the bottom plate: David Weber Augusta, Augsbur. A rare and distinguished German table clock in very good and authentic condition. Historically valuable object. Dimensions 10 cm x 11 cm x 11 cm.

David Weber, 2nd half 17th C. This clock maker is mentioned in Maurice, addendum 1 (Die deutsche Räderuhr, vol. I, Munich 1976, p. 296), among the clockmakers in Augsburg who had acquired 'smiting' (forging) rights.
