8-day movement with half hour striking on a gong, lovely gilt brass case with polychrome enamel decoration
The 6.3-cm gilt dial has Roman numerals and blued steel spade hands. It is fitted in a silvered mask.
The movement is driven by two spring barrels and has a duration of eight days. It is regulated by an anchor escapement in combination with a balance. Tthe backplate is inscribed French Make and W.M. & Co. in an oval. The clock strikes the hours and half hours on a gong by means of rack striking.
The arched gilt brass case is adorned on all sides, except the back, with polychrome champleve enamel inlay displaying foliate scrolls and flowers. A gilt ornament with oak leaf and an oval cartouche is fitted in the tympanum. There are pilasters on all corners and the whole is placed on a stepped plinth.
