Description
An Oil and vinegar set in Blue and White Dutch Delftware
The pearshaped jugs with their sprout are derived from Japanese oil and vinegar sets of 1660-1680. The jugbodies and the holder are decorated with chinoiserie figures sitting in a landscape. Technique: high fire technique, monochrome blue. The letters A and O inside the holder on the jugs stand for Azijn (vinegar) and Olie (oil).
