Description
An extraordinary porcelain vase with gilt bronze handles, decorated with fine gilding and paintings. One front with the portrait of Wilhelm I; Emperor of Germany & Prussia. The other with a vieuw from the Altes Paleis; the Emperor's private residence in Berlin. Factory of KPM Berlin circa 1860.
Littr. This vase was a gift from the Emperor to the family Stolberg-Wernigerode. It used to be exhibited in the Emperor's bedroom, in the castle museum Wernigerode.
