Description
Important pair of fully gilded egg shaped vases on pedestals with crook shaped handles. One side is decorated by large painted landscapes depicting woods & rivers while the other side is decorated with engraved 'bruni à l'effet' motifs. Factory of Darte frères in Paris. Charles X period.

The factory of Darte was on of the most prestigious porcelain manufactory from Paris; famous for its production of vases & set elements with fully gilded grounds decorated by finely painted scenes and 'bruni à l'effet' engraved motifs. A comparable pair of vases is exhibited in the Sèvres museum.
