SOLD No 22. Atmos clock, nickel case J. L. Reutter, no 3499, France ca. 1930.
Nickel case, transparency through the four glasses, white enamelled dial, Roman chapters. With the original Atmos clockwork. Mercury- and gas volume fluctuates under the changing weather conditions, in particular temperature. This generates continuously the power for the movement and therefore called ‘Pendule Perpetuele’. The invention was made by a French engineer Jean Léon Reutter. The clock is signed: Pendule Perpetuele, Brevets J.L. Reutter. Exceptional timepiece style wise with advanced engineering, invention by the French engineer Reutter. Dimensions: HxWxD. 24x18x16 cm. Price on request.
