Nr. 112. A French stick barometer, by Mossy, circa 1790.
With a mahogany-veneered case, ebony stinging and with a triangular pediment at the top. The barometer is provided with a Torricelli tube with a visible mercury cistern protected an decorated with brass ornaments.,-- Signed by the maker as follows: MOSSY, Quai Pelletier Nr. 36, Paris. Highth 107 cm. The air pressure is indicated in French inches (25-30). Brass barometer scaleA brass knob is used of tendency indication. Price on request.
