A lovely rare small French Louis XVI ormolu cartel d'alcove by Noel Balthazar with pull quarter repat
9-cm enamel dial with Roman numerals signed Noel Balthazar, finely pierced and engraved gilt fleur-des-lis hands, 8-day anchor movement signed Noel Balthazar A Paris with pull quarter repeat on two bells, finely cast and chased ormolu case surmounted by a classical urn, hung with trailing leaves to the sides, below an opening revealing the silk suspended pendulum, the whole terminating in a berry finial
