Description
Eight day going train with ‘anchor’ escapement. Rack striking train chimes full on the hour. Striking train can be turned of. Date indication, separate dial for seconds. Three bleud steel hands. Gilt bronze dial, with a gilt ring with numerals, gilt date disk and gilt signature plate.
Case on a profiled plinth. The door in the center part is decorated with a profiled edge. The top is decorated with pilars.
William Webster (?-1734 London) was an apprentice of Thomas Tompion and later worked with him.
The clock is signed on the dial; Wm Webster Exchange Alley, LONDON.
