A dark blue globe clock with stars, rotating rings in enamel and Arabic numerals. The stationary hand and rotating rings to indicate minutes and hours are characteristic for this clock. Eight day movement striking hours and half hour on a bell. Clock with pinwheel escapement and Berthoud compensation pendulum and knife-edge suspension Beautiful bronze composition of Venus and Cupid in a dark patina. The clock rets on a ormolu pedestal with a relief symbolising the art of sculpture: A putto chiselling the head of Venus. Clock and figures on a rectangular gilt base with acanthus leaf decorations.
