15.2-cm square brass dial with matted centre fitted with latches and cherub spandersl, applied engraved silvered chapter ring with Roman numerals and five minute marking, finely pierced iron hands and engraved silvered alarm disc, date aperture and lever for strike/silent above XII, two train spring driven fusee movement with verge escapement, knopped and ringed pillars, well engraved back plate with scrolls, tulips and leaves with the signature Joseph Norris Amsterdam, rack hour striking on a bell, alarm seperately mounted on the back plate, pull wind quarter repeating on three bells, moulded ebony veneered case with a foliate pierced gilt brass basket top surmounted by a handle with eagle heads, similar front and side frets, square glazed front door with applied pierced foliate mounts, moulded plinth raised on bun feet.
