Description
Running train with fusee and balance. The striking train and alarm strike on a chime. The square casing has profiled edges with remnants of gilding and hangs from an ormolu ring. The lunette is ormolu bronze, as is the alarm-dial. The silver-plated dial is decorated in relief. The hours are indicated by Roman numerals, every five minutes are indicated by Arabic numerals.
Signed on the clockwork: J.Bt. Grimard, ANVERS Jean Baptiste Grimard I, was appointed master before 1752 in Antwerp.
