Description
a Dutch polychrome card table with a folding top
a card table with folding top made of deal with carving and polychrome. It is a Dutch table that could stand against the wall so that it didn't take too much space and when in use one could fold it open to play cards or play the populair backgammon. The still remaining card atbles are made of oak; polychrome tables with carving are very exeptional. In a lot of Dutch paintings you can see this type of table standing against the wall. (See: Pieter de Hooch," the bedroom" in the National Gallery of Art in Washington)
