A unique set of six Renaissance chairs made of walnut and the original leather upholstery. They were made in Antwerp in the same workshop as the chair that Rubens owned and which is now in Museum the Rubenshuis. They were made around 1620-1640. They were never restored with the exeption of two leather backs in the 19th century. In the leather is printed the monogram of Christ: IHS that was used by the Jesuits.
