a Netherlandish tripod pricket-candlestick made of copper alloy, Gothic, ca. 1400

a pricket-candlestick with three feet made of copper alloy with a beautiful patina. This candlestick originates in the Netherlands. It is an early candlestick dating from the gothic period, in this case end of the 14th/ beginning of the 15th century. The pricket has a knob in the middle; the foot has a little rim. The three feet are modeled as little sitting animals (one has a small damage to it). The underside is still rough and not turned off and polished.
