A Pair of Three-Branch XVI Style Wall-Lights
The fluted rectangular tapering backplate is decorated with carved foliage and a central rosette surmounted by an antique vase festooned with laurel-wreath swags. Above the rosette three acanthus leeves issueing the three acanthus-scroll reeded S-shaped light-arms holding the urn-shaped bobèches.
These magnificent Wall-Lights, also referred to as Wall Appliques, are manufactured in a very rich Louis XVI-style which was very beloved in the age of Historism.
