Description

A pair of wall mirrors in finely cut frames. At the bottom the mirrors are fitted with bracket-candlesticks with three branches.

The frames are carved with elongated C- and S-volutes with blossom sprigs. The candlesticks are made of gilded tinplate.

Mirrors fitted with lights like these, had a merely practicle purpose. The reflection of the candle-flames in the mirrors simply yielded more light at night.
