Description
Charles Henri Joseph ‘Charles’ Leickert, born in Brussels -Belgium-1816, died in Mainz -Germany- 1907. Charles Leickers got lessons from Adreas Schelfhout. He lived in Holland and after 1887 in Mainz, Germany. Charles Leickert, well-known painter of landscapes, townviews and beaches, especially in wintertime. He became member of the Royal Art School, Amsterdam in 1856, also member of Arti et Amicitiae, Amsterdam. Works by Charles Leickert are in possession of all the big Dutch museums.
