Description
This museum quality bronze sculpture of a dog is in excellent condition. The bronze is worked out in perfect details, exceptional and very rare. The bronze is mounted on a marble base, which has an antique green colour.
The attitude of this dog is beautifully caught by the artist. Sharp and totally concentrated the dog is locating a sound.
The origin of this type of dog is Belgium, formally called a Belgium Shepherd. The Belgium Shepherd is a watchdog, active and caring for his task, which was usually to guard sheep. The artist succeeded in combining the characteristics of this dog: active, guarding, caring and intelligent.
