a Renaissance handbell, founder Johan van den Eynde, Mechelen-Antwerp, dated 1548
A handbell in a perfect state made by Johan van den Eynde, who worked both in Antwerp and in Mechelen. He dated this Renaissance bell with the following text at the underside of the bell: "ick ben gegoten in het jaar MDXLVIII (1548)" and at the upperside he wrote: "lof God van Alle". It has a beautiful patina.
