A magnificent pair of French Empire ormolu and bronze 4-light candelabra, circa 1800

square moulded ormolu base with applied mount of a pegasus, patinated bronze urn-shaped stem with scroll and cherub handles, surmounted by a cross of four scroll arms with shaped bobêches with the centre surmounted by a cockerel. Imposing and rare candelabra in a good and original condition. The bronze work, chasing and gilding of the best quality.
