VIP Art Fair announce second edition exhibitors

The VIP Art Fair has announced the list of exhibitors for its second edition, which opens in February.

The fair, the most ambitious attempt to replicate the traditional art fair online, got off to a slightly troublesome start last year with users complaining that it was almost unusably slow given the traffic on the website's bandwidth. Organisers hope that the appointment of Lisa Kennedy, and 'e-commerce expert' and most recently executive vice president of Quidsi Inc will tackle these teething probelms and allay fears. The press release trumpets both its bluechip participants – including Ruth Benzacar Galería De Arte, Hauser + Wirth, Zwirner, Marian Goodman, Max Hetzler, The Pace Gallery, Yvon Lambert, Gallery Hyundai, Krinzinger and Roslyn Oxley – and a plethora of younger galleries including Limoncello (London), Gonzalez and Gonzalez (Santiago), Mendez Wood (Rio) Lisa Cooley (NY) Labor (Mexico City) Carbon 12 (Dubai) Brand New (Milan). New for this year will be an editions and multiples section with non-profit exhibitors including the Whitechapel and Serpentine Galleries (London), The Fruitmarket (Edinburgh), Texte zur Kunst (Berlin) the Ullens Center (Beijing) and Rhizome (The New Museum, NY) among others.
