The new Art Amsterdam

12 January '12 by the editors

Art Amsterdam will be undergoing a metamorphosis. The art fair will be more exclusive and compact. Art Amsterdam will be held from 20 - 23 September 2012. The exact location of the event will be announced shortly.

In the run up to the next edition, Art Amsterdam will use more stringent selection criteria. The number of exhibitors - over a third of whom will be from abroad - will be reduced by well over 30% from 135 to approximately 90.

Art Amsterdam will also be shifting from May to September, the start of the cultural season. ‘Art in Amsterdam’, the side programme in the city itself which brings together a large number of cultural breeding grounds, artists’ initiatives and events will also be transferred to the autumn.
