Albertus Verhoesen was born in Utrecht 1806, he died in Utrecht 1881. Student of, amongst others, J. van Ravenzwaay and P.G. van Os. He lived for some time in the same house as B.C. Koekkoek. Except pastures with cattle and animal barns Albertus Verhoesen also made numerous paintings with poultry. Exhibitions in Amsterdam, The Hague and Leeuwarden. Works in possession of the Centraal Museum Utrecht, Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen in Rotterdam and the Rijksprentenkabinet in Amsterdam.
