David Adolph Constant Artz was born in The Hague, December 18th 1837, he died in The Hague November 8th, 1890. Student of the Artschool in Amsterdam and he got instructions from Josef Israels. David Artz travelled a lot, a.o. to Scotland, Germany, Italy and the United Kingdom. He lived in Paris from 1866 untill 1874, than he settled down in The Hague. Painter of mainly life around the fisherman and his family. Exhibitions in Amsterdam and The Hague. Works by David Artz in possession of the Rijksmuseum Amsterdam, Rijksmuseum H.W.
