Albert Saverijs, born in Deinze (Belgium) on May 12th 1886, where he died on April 29th, 1964. After following drawing lessons in Deinze he studied at the Academy of Art in Gent and Antwerp. Afer finishing his studies he often stayed in France in order to participate in several Salons. Painter of landscapes and still-lifes, at first impressionistic later on Flemish Expressionism. His work can be found in museums in Antwerp, Brussels, Gent, Luik and Namen (Belgium).
