Leendert, "Leo" Gestel was born in Woerden 1881, he died in Hilversum 1941 (Holland). Student of his father Willem Gestel (1853-1952) and of the artschools in Amsterdam. Leo Gestel travelled to Germany, France, Austria, Mallorca and Belgium. Painter of landscapes, figures, still lives and flowers. Exhibition in the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam. Works in possession of numerous museums in The Netherlands.
