Reimond Kimpe a Belgian Painter who visited the dutch isle of Walcheren regularly. Self-taught painter, who used, ships, cityscapes, figures, landscapes and later on biblical subjects in his art. In style his works are very diverse, as he worked naturalistic, expressionistic, constructivistic and abstract. Kimpe's figures are always styled in a powerful way and he had a favour for strong contrasts. Was a member of the artist’s societies ‘De Onafhankelijken’ and ‘St.-Lucas’ in Amsterdam. The Bonnefantenmuseum (Maastricht), Singer Museum (Laren) and Zeeuws Museum (Middelburg) organized solo-exhibitions of his work
