Johannes Hermanus Barend Koekkoek, born in Amsterdam 1840 he died in Hilversum 1912. Holland. Student of his father Hermanus Koekkoek, 1815-1882. Painter of landscapes and marines, the beach, and life in and around the fishermans villages and its inhabitants. In 1910 J.H.B. Koekkoek received the highest honorable mention from the town Hilversum, Holland. Exhibitions in Amsterdam, The Hague, Rotterdam and Leeuwarden. Works in possession of the Rijksprentenkabinet Amsterdam and the Jan Cunen Museum Oss.
