Henk Bos Homes 1901 - 1979 The artist Henk Bos was born in 1901 in Huizen, the son of a shoemaker's servant. The young Forest developed a great talent for painting still lifes in the style of old masters. He was in his time soon recognized for his work in America and was even named the new Rembrandt from Holland. (What he obviously took a bit too much credit). Various museums such as the Maryhill Museum of Art are works of Henk Bos in their permanent collection. Much of the work of Henk Bos is in America and now appears in many galleries are still there. In the Netherlands the interest in still life especially the last few years. Works by artists like Henk, Rob and Henk Molmann forest becoming increasingly popular today. A perfect moment to Henk Bos to care that he has actually earned the last century. Bos was a member of St. Luke the artists' associations in Amsterdam and Gooi Painting Association in Laren.
