GF van Schagen 1880 - 1968 This originally was signed Hague painting, watercolor painting and learned many excellent polder landscape and village and city views, initially in the style of the Hague School. He later developed a more impressionistic own distinctive style. Besides painter GF van Schagen was a great restorer of paintings. He succeeded in this a unique method and thus earned a good sandwich invested. He also was an active member of one of the most famous artists' associations and Arti et Amicitiae course of the Gooi Painting Association. Van Schagen died on October 4, 1968 at the age of 88 artists in the village of Laren, where he lived since 1918 and worked great. Varied work of this artist is included in the collection include the Singer Museum in Laren.
