George Willem Ofdenhoff, 1807 - 1873. (His real name is Witzel). He was born in Fulda (Germany) in 1807, he died in The Hague in 1873. Pupil of A. Schelfhout (landscapes) and J.C. Schotel (sea views). He lived in Breda and Rotterdam and in 1842 he settled in The Hague. Painter of sea, beach and river views. Exhibitions in The Hague and Rotterdam. Works in posession of the The Hague Gemeentemuseum.
