Jef de Pauw was born in Sint-Nicolaas-Waas in 1888, he died in Tamise in 1930. (Belgium) At the start of his career his work was mostly expressionist, this style was very popular in Belgium.Later on he developed a more impressionistic style, his preferred subjects were snow landscapes and mysterious landscapes with trees.
