Bernard De Leye has been an antique dealer since 1977. His gallery specialises in Belgian and European silverware from the 17th and the 18th century. He plays an active part in many associations and has been chairman of the “Chambre Belge des Experts en Œuvres d’Art” since 2002, vice-president of the “Confédération Européenne des Experts en Œuvres d’Art” and vice-president of the “Foire des Antiquaires de Belgique”. He attends many international art fairs, including the Paris Biennale, the Monaco Biennale, the Moscow World Fine Art Fair and the Fine Jewellery Art Fair of Shangaï. In 2006 Bernard De Leye was selected to be a “Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres” in France.
