The gallery was founded in 1983 by Stefan Grusenmeyer, who had been a dealer in Ghent since 1960. His son, Karim, took over the business in 2000. The gallery specialises in Asian, African and Oceanic sculpture. As an Eastern expert with a passion for archaeology, Karim Grusenmeyer focuses mainly on South-East Asia. In May 2003 the Grusenmeyer gallery published “Spirals and Ancestors”.
