Profile
In 1958 I opened my eyes to this colourful world. I grew up nearby the Caspian Sea, where my family had carpet business since 1848. So I was brought up in this culture with the beautiful harmony and colour of Persian carpets.
My love, fascination and appreciation to this kind of art and its history existed since my childhood. As a result I studied, after high school, art and its history combined with a technical study at the university of Tehran and graduated in 1980.
After immigrating to the Netherlands, I started in 1990 my Persian carpet business, by the name of Pars Oriental Carpets, in the beautiful city in the north of Holland called Groningen.
