Willem Dooijewaard was born in Amsterdam 1892, he died June 17th 1980 in Blaricum, Holland. Student of the applied artschool in Amsterdam. Brother of the artist Jaap Dooijewaard. Willem Dooijewaard lived in Amsterdam till 1913, than Sumatra and Bali (Indonesia) Peking, Mongoli� (China), Japan, the South of France and, after 1933, he moved back to Blaricum, Holland. He painted in an impressionistic manner figures, portraits, landscapes etc. Willem Dooijewaard had a solo exhibition in the Singer Museum Laren. Works in possession of the Singer Museum Laren, the Rijkscollectie en the Stedelijk van Abbemuseum, Eindhoven.
