Anne-Pierre de Kat was born in Delft (Holland) 1881, he died in La Frette (France) 1968. Anne-Pierre de Kat had the Dutch nationality. He studied at the artschool in The Hague, Gant and Brussels.
Anne-Pierre de Kat was member of the famous Belgian group of St. Martens-Lathem. Painter of portraits, still lives and flowers, his effects with rain and snow are exceptional. He won the "Nationale Prijs voor Schone Kunsten" in 1939 and the "Prijs van het Portret" in 1947.
