A decorative Art Nouveau hour repeating carriage clock with 8 day movement.
Self striking the half hour/hour, alarm.
Movement in a gilt "Anglaise" case, bracket feet, profiled base and cornice with a surrounding dentil pattern or so called dentil frieze.
The corners decorated with finely cast columns and Corinthian capitals. The sides decorated with translucent purple and green coloured enamelled lilies on an engine-turned and translucent silver-coloured ground. Handle with fluted middle part, facet glazed front, back and top. Button for repeating mechanism.
The silvered dial, eccentric placed, with Arabic numerals. A engine-turned/guilloché translucent silver-coloured ground with translucent purple and green coloured enamelled lilies.
The movement: 8-day movement, key wind, 2 hammers / 1 gong, enamel alarm disc with Arabic numerals, 3 barrels for going train, strike and alarm. Platform with English lever escapement. A(vancer)-R(egarder) handle for speed compensation.
Signature on the dial: (Charles) Oudin, Horloger de La Marine, Paris.
Movement number on the back plate no 6919. Dimentions: 140 x 90 x 80 mm.
