Description
An attractive and amusing South German Louis XVI parcel gilt wall wall timepiece, circa 1760.
enamel dial with Roman numerals, pierced blued hands, 30-hour movement with verge escapement and front pendulum driven by its own weight. The movement engages with the teeth of the rack mounted on a parcel gilt backboard with foliate carved pierced cresting and terminal.
