Frank Milton Armington was born in Ontario (Canada) the 28th of July 1876. He died in 1941 in New York. Armington studied at John Wycliffe Lowes Forster in Toronto and later went to the Academy Julien in Paris. Between 1905 and 1936 he exhibited his works in Le Salon des Artistes Français in Paris. From 1900 till 1939 he lived and worked in France; he also worked in Belgium and he moved with his wife Caroline to New York. Armington was a postimpressionist painter of townviews, landscapes and architectural views.
