Atmos clock in black case with print, J.L. Reutter UNNUMBERED!, France circa 1930. Cabinet in Art Deco style. Case signed. Silvered dial with Roman numerals, signed Atmos Pendule Perpétuelle, made in Paris, Brevets J. L. Reutter. With the original Atmos clockwork. The drum of the clock contains a mercury- and gas tube. Changes in weather conditions in particular temperature causes volumes changes. This generates a thermic in the barrel. The fluctuations and rotations are collected and the energy is used to drive the movement continuously. It is therefore called Pendule Perpétuelle. The invention was made by a French engineer, Jean Leon Reutter. HxBxD 24x19x14 cm
