Jacob. J. Roosjen has been working for Sotheby’s as Director of the Silver Department until July 2009, when he started his own business. As one of the leading experts in European silver in the past two decades he knows his way in the international art market. As a registered appraiser in Silver and Jewellery he does valuations for private persons, companies, museums and auction houses. He recently set up his own Silver Research Institute. He is also a dealer, for he buys and sells quality silver items, ranging from the 17th to the 20th century.
