This large Wanli teapot is beautifully decorated with fields of flowering plants and animals, in this case a lion
Decorations with a lion on a teapot are rare in this period.
The engraved silver mounts were made in the 19th century.
On the inside of the handle an inscription: "S.D. and A.M.B. 1833-1858".
