A mahogany contra bak barometer in a particularly beautiful case, decorated in Louis XVI style.

A mahogany contra bak barometer in a particularly beautiful case, decorated in  Louis XVI style. A margueterie shell motif in both the tympanum and the bottom part. The broken tympanum of the shade is crowned by a carved vase with laurel branches hanging on both sides. The door is flanked by black polished columns with capitals of ormolu brass. The entire cabinet is decorated with satin wood piping and margins. Decorative buttons inserted at the top and bottom of the tray. the scale plates behind the door are of engraved tin and signed 'Geb. Lurasco in Amsterdam '
