Admiral Fitzroy's barometer. Oak cabinet with paper scale plates, on which a detailed description of the operation of the instrument is described. In addition to a barometer, a thermometer and storm glass are present in the cabinet. The storm glass is an instrument that pushes the crystals in the tube upwards when the air pressure drops (announcement of a storm). The more crystals that emerge, the heavier the expected wind force.

Two simple brass hand pointers next to the scale have to be adjusted by hand to see how the weather develops.
