10-cm enamel dial with Roman numerals and fine ormolu hands, spring-driven movement with anchor escapement and silk suspended pendulum of 8-day duration, half hour countwheel striking on a bell, finely cast and chiseled ormolu urn-shaped case, the handles with mythical animals drinking, further with classical relief mounts of wine leaves, garlands, palmettes and wreaths, the moulded octagonal base raised on bun feet
