A very fine French Empire skeleton clock in fire gilt bronze.
The white enamelled chapter ring with an outer diameter of 9 cm and an inner diameter of 5.5 cm has Roman numerals surrounded by a minute interval, next to it pearls in fire gilding and a border of blue enamel. Fire gilded bronze fleur de groin hands.
Eight-day spring-driven anchor movement, pendulum “Bachantine” with silk suspension. Bell percussion in full on the hour, and once every half hour, by means of a locking disc.
The watch mounted in an openwork round, flanked by puttis with a laurel branch. It is crowned with a vase and drinking swans with floral garlands and flowers. The timepiece is supported by six columns surrounded by an ajoure and, and four vases. An oval base decorated with palmettes on four ball feet. The whole in original condition with the original fire gilding.
